Beer with a side of salt

If your not from a wet place like Washington, slugs might not be that much of a problem. I have been a killer (of slugs that is) for about a month. They still are coming and they can take out a whole plant over night. If you have slug trouble here is a tip!
Pour a little bit of beer in a bowl and have it flush with the ground. The slugs will have a little party while you are asleep. Apparently they are attracted to the yeast in the beer. I'm not sure if they get so drunk they drown or if the beer explodes their stomachs. I have read both. But that is besides the point, that this actually works! The other day I counted a total of 31 dead slugs in one night. That was a record!
