Cabinet Make Over

This project turned out to be a LOT more work than I thought, but so worth it in the end. Anyone could attempt this, with an amazing turn out. It all cost about $35, and the outcome is money!

First sand everything down and take off all the doors and hardware. Don't skip priming, this step will help insure the life of your paint job over time.

Once priming is completely dry paint your base color. This color if you look at any wood grain should be the lightest color you see. I had to use 2 coats of the base paint. Also, buy the best paint you can that is made for cabinets. Trust me on this one. I have tried to go cheap on the paint and there is no comparison in the results.
The glaze is a mix of 1 part of the darkest color paint and 2 part clear coat glaze. You will brush this one cabinet at a time and wipe off fairly quickly with a clean rag. The amount you wipe off is totally a preference with how dark you want the cabinets to go. I used a pure black color for my glaze mix.
